Terms of Service

Effective date: [fill in launch date] ยท Studdely LLC

1. Acceptance of terms

By installing or using the Studdely Chrome extension, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Studdely.

2. What Studdely does

Studdely reads assignment, course, and rubric information visible in your own logged-in Canvas account, then uses AI to estimate completion time and generate a personalized study schedule. Studdely works entirely within your own browser session โ€” it does not access Canvas's servers directly or independently of you.

3. Eligibility

Studdely is built for high school and college students. You must be at least 13 years old to use Studdely. If you're between 13 and 17, you confirm that you have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use Studdely and to agree to these Terms on your behalf where required. Studdely is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to create an account.

4. Accounts and billing

Plans: Monthly $4.99, Semester (~4 months) $14.99, Annual $29.99. New users get a 60-day free trial โ€” no payment information required to start. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is processed by Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Studdely for lawful personal academic purposes only. You won't attempt to reverse-engineer the extension, violate your institution's academic integrity policy, extract or replicate our estimation database, share your account, or overload our systems or Canvas's.

6. Your authorization to read Canvas data

You authorize Studdely to read the data visible in your own logged-in Canvas account for the purpose of providing the service. You confirm that providing this data to Studdely doesn't violate any agreement between you and your school.

7. Intellectual property

Studdely's software, design, and the anonymized estimation database belong to Studdely LLC. You keep ownership of your own assignment and academic data; using Studdely grants us a limited license to process it solely to provide the service to you.

8. No warranty

Studdely is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that time estimates or study plans will be perfectly accurate for every assignment. You're responsible for meeting your own academic deadlines and obligations.

9. Limitation of liability

Our total liability to you for any claim related to Studdely is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

We may suspend an account for violating these Terms. You can stop using Studdely anytime by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the extension.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes are resolved through good-faith negotiation and, if needed, binding arbitration.

12. Changes

We'll notify you of material changes to these Terms by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect.
